About
Folio of Ash
I spend my days designing digital products and finding ways to make complex experiences feel simple. Whether it's a fintech platform, a business tool, or a customer-facing product, I enjoy turning ideas, requirements, and user needs into interfaces that are intuitive and easy to navigate. The people using these products have things to accomplish, not interfaces to figure out. My job is to help them get there with as little friction as possible.
I've worked on projects ranging from fintech applications and internal tools to websites, brand revamps, and product concepts. I've collaborated with founders, developers, and small teams where priorities change quickly and constraints are part of the process. Along the way, I competed in Design Fusion Season 3, where my team finished as runners-up an experience that reinforced the value of collaboration, rapid iteration, and asking the right questions. What stays consistent is my curiosity and focus on creating experiences that balance user needs with business goals.
Currently, I'm focused on product design, user experience, and design systems while exploring opportunities to work on impactful digital products. Before moving into UI/UX, I worked in graphic design and video production, experiences that continue to influence how I think about storytelling, structure, and user attention.

it's me
Always designed with intention
Starting with why, not what
Before jumping into wireframes, I want to understand what problem we're actually solving. Sometimes the thing people ask for isn't the thing they need. My favorite projects start with good questions and end with solutions that feel obvious in hindsight.
think first, draw later.
no perfect world here!
Designing for real constraints
Perfect conditions don't exist. Budgets are tight, timelines are aggressive, legacy systems are messy, and sometimes you just can't talk to users directly. I'm comfortable making smart decisions with imperfect information and finding creative solutions within real limitations.
Collaboration over hero design
The best work happens when designers, engineers, and product folks are actually talking to each other, not throwing things over the wall. I genuinely enjoy the back-and-forth of figuring out what's possible, what's practical, and what's going to create the most value.
we, not me.
details build trust.
Making the invisible visible
Some of the most impactful design work isn't flashyโit's the progress indicator that keeps people oriented, the auto-save that prevents panic, the validation message that actually helps instead of just saying 'error.' These details build trust.

Timeline

Utkal Labs
I own the end-to-end design for a live fintech mobile app, from early discovery and user flows to shipping 45+ screens now available on App Store and Play Store. I built a 14-component design system in Figma to keep things consistent as the product scaled, and worked closely with developers to make sure what we shipped actually matched what was designed. I also stepped outside the usual design boundary and coded the product's marketing website from scratch in HTML & CSS. On any given day I'm researching, wireframing, iterating, and using AI tools to move faster and think sharper.

Where I learned that good design isn't just about aesthetics, it's about communicating the right thing to the right person. I designed campaign visuals and digital content for government and public-sector projects, developing a sharp eye for visual hierarchy, consistency, and brand alignment that I carry into every UX decision I make today.

IIG Technology
Directed and shot advertising and promotional content for broadcast and digital platforms. This is where visual storytelling became instinct, understanding composition, pacing, and how people respond to what they see. Skills that translate more directly into UX than most people expect.
